Science & History

Unit studies will be taught family style, with varying topics throughout the year. Our focus will be on hands-on, nature-based, and Christ-centered learning. Examples may include nature studies, animal studies, American history, and thematic studies based on holidays, seasons, and other events.

Life Skills

At Rock of Arrows, teaching useful life skills is important to us! You might find us baking, gardening, learning about animals, preserving food, and much more!

Biblical Truth

The Bible will play a central role throughout our day. We will begin with a morning devotional that draws directly from its teachings, and we will incorporate prayer throughout the day.

The Beauty of God’s Creation

At Rock of Arrows, we explore God's word and learn from His amazing creation. If you came to visit us you might see us outside discovering about goats, learning about food preservation led by a community member, enjoying poetry tea time with baked goods we learned to prepare, or taking nature walks to study the wonders of God's creations!

No ROA is not a co-op, usually, co-ops require parents to teach classes and participate during the school days.

You are responsible for keeping track of Missouri's homeschool requirements for your child. We will provide you with a quarterly certificate that indicates the number of hours your child has completed at ROA. You can use this certificate to maintain your records. It is your responsibility to support your child in completing the assigned work at home. Feel free to grade and assess your child's work at home as needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the teachers.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, your child will receive instruction at ROA from 9 AM to 3 PM. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are designated as homeschool days.

Lunch will not be provided, students will need to pack a lunch when they are at ROA.

We are affiliated with the Lamine Church of Christ but welcome students from other denominations.

Currently, we are unable to do so, but we hope to have the opportunity in the future!
